With bookable spaces (perfect for any occasion) and a lovely pub garden, we’re an ideal venue for relaxed celebrations, intimate dinners or business meetings. Our kitchen team loves to whip up proper pub dishes – bob-on for all celebrations and get-togethers.

Our beer garden is beautiful, if you fancy celebrating outside. Oh, and your guests can order food & drinks straight to the table with the Young’s On Tap app (which is pretty fancy.)

Our Chicken Coop is the perfect space for all your casual gatherings, intimate dinner parties and business meetings, there’s no better space. In a space of your own, overlooking our country garden, it makes you feel completely separate from the rest of the pub whilst still being in the heart.

Our unique event space to the side of our main bar is perfect for any private party or function. It has its own bar hatch, flat screen TV and access to its own toilets. With casual furnishing and beautiful feature walls, this space is great for canapés and drinks receptions.

The Dolphin is the quintessential English pub. Ancient building (or at least by American standards), cosy fireplace, flagstone floors, great beer (including real ales). The food is good too. But, what makes it special is the staff and the community. Tony and his staff behind the bar are always quick with a drink, courteous, and friendly. THE BEST BIT though is that the Dolphin is dog friendly. There is nothing better than walking in on a Saturday afternoon after a pheasant hunt and seeing that Labradors and Spaniels outnumber the humans. It is my favourite pub in all of England.

We asked The Dolphin to cater for a private family reception and it was outstanding. The selection of canapés was delicious and varied and easily accommodated the gluten free and vegetarian members of the party. Thank you so much, we were looked after beautifully.

Post walk bliss! Had lunch booked for 15 adults and 14 children on Saturday. Tony and his colleagues were fantastic. So too the food! Lots of space, warm fires and a great atmosphere. Perfect after a cold walk around Box Hill. I have the bavette steak… Very much recommend! The chicken and leek pie was also a hit on our table.
